About This Park

Pawsome Playground Dog Park is The Colony's dedicated public off-leash facility, located at 4800 E. Lake Highlands Drive across from the city animal shelter. The park features a double-gated entry and separate areas for large dogs and small dogs (under 35 lbs). Waste stations are provided throughout. The park is open daily 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with extended summer hours (7:00 AM to 9:30 PM from Memorial Day to Labor Day). On Thursdays the park opens at 3:00 PM instead. Dogs must display current rabies vaccination and owner ID tags. Limit of two dogs per adult. No admission fee.

No female dogs in heat or puppies under 4 months. No grooming or professional training unless approved. Children under 10 strongly discouraged; children 15 and under must be supervised by an adult.
